Your birth story matters.

There's nothing more profound in this life than birth and death; yet we tend to box it up.

Tell Me Again never tires of hearing about your birth story - and the beautiful way you re-tell it, even decades later.

This is a dedicated space for you to speak your birth story aloud - the details, feelings, moments that stick with you. All the parts you've never been able to put into words.

One-to-one · 90 minutes · online · recording included

You talk and I listen.

There's no rush, no judgment, no “you've said enough now.”

What I offer is space and attention. An impartial friend who understands how important birth is and wants to hear your story - all of it, as many times as you need to tell it.

You can go into as much or as little detail as you want - the medical bits, emotional bits, moments that nobody else seems to think matter but still live huge in your memory.

Hi, I'm Hannah.

Proud mum to three children. Two earthside and one we didn't get to keep.

Hannah, founder of Tell Me Again, seated between two framed photographs from her own children's births

The stories around all three of my births circle in my head almost daily. They eke out like a valve release when the topic comes up, but never in a way that is long, languid, and unfolding. It's like the stories live a little stuck somewhere inside my body.

After my experiences, I craved to tell my story. A handful of close friends and family listened. But once I'd birthed my birth story once (often in those first few weeks postpartum) I felt the door close - the natural processing that occurs over time happened mostly in my own head.

Birth is a vacuum of time like no other - intense, wild, disarming and vulnerable. Whether it went “well” or “not so well”, it shapes how we show up in the world and who we become.

I believe telling your birth story is telling a huge part of your entire story.

Some stories don't fit in one telling. The Anthology is for going deeper.

Choose your own shape:

  • Multiple births: tell each one separately, in the order and at the pace that's right for you
  • Lineage: bring your mother, grandmother, or daughter into the telling. Hear the stories that shaped yours; the ones you've always wanted told in full
  • Birth partner: invite the person who was beside you to tell their side of the same day

Larger or multi-generational anthologies are quoted individually. Get in touch and we'll talk through what yours might look like.
